How a charge is recognised
There is no list of known subscription companies behind this. We look at the dates and amounts on your statement and keep any merchant that has charged you at least twice, at regular intervals (weekly, every two weeks, monthly, quarterly or yearly), at about the same price. That means it also finds bills and small services nobody has heard of.
- Two purchases at the same shop, cafe, supermarket or transport company a month apart are not counted: that is shopping, not a subscription.
- Two charges must be within 3% of each other. With three or more, a price can go up and still count, but a merchant where every charge is a different amount does not.
- Each charge is marked high confidence when we have seen it at least three times on a steady schedule, and medium when we have only seen it twice.
- Per year is the latest charge times the number of charges in a year (12 for monthly, 52 for weekly, 26 for every two weeks, 4 for quarterly). Per month is that yearly figure divided by 12.
What each amount of history can show
A charge has to appear more than once before it can be called recurring, so what we find depends on how many months your statements cover. If an upload is too short for something, the results page says so.

For the services listed below, the results page links to that company's own subscription or account page. For anything else we say that we do not have a link, rather than guess one. We do not cancel anything on your behalf and we charge nothing for the links.
