Terms of Service

The deal, in plain words

1. What this service is

ReadMyStatement reads bank statement PDFs you upload and shows you a breakdown of what's in them. Reading one statement on screen is free and needs no account. Paid packs and plans add volume (analysing several statements together), exports, and the application summary document. By using the site you accept these terms.

2. Your statement, your responsibility

Only upload statements you are entitled to hold — your own, or ones you handle professionally with the owner's authorisation. You keep all rights to what you upload; we claim none. As described in the Privacy Policy, we never store the file.

3. We read documents, we never alter them

This site analyses statements. It does not create, edit, or 'fix' them, and requests to use it that way — including anything aimed at misleading a lender, landlord, or immigration authority — are forbidden and will be refused. The application summary is always derived from your real statement and labelled as an analysis, never presented as a bank document.

4. Accuracy

We work from what your bank printed, and we check our own totals against the opening and closing balances on the statement — your results page tells you plainly whether the numbers added up. Even so, parsing can miss or misread rows and category guesses can be wrong. The output is information about your document, not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. We are not a bank. Decisions you make on it are yours.

5. Paying, credits and cancelling

Prices are shown before you pay and charged as shown. Pack credits are one-off purchases that never expire. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling takes one click in your account, stops the next renewal, and keeps your plan active until the period you paid for ends. If something didn't work, ask for a refund from the refund page and a person will look at it.

6. Fair use

Don't attack, overload, scrape, or probe the service, upload files designed to break parsers, or resell access without an agreement with us. We can refuse service or close accounts that do.

7. Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes appear on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
