Почему это существует
Каждый месяц ваш банк дает вам документ, который технически содержит ответ. Восемь страниц справочных кодов, сокращений и текущих номеров позже, большинство людей проверяют окончательный баланс, миксируют и закрывают файл. Информация всегда была там. Она была просто написана для компьютера, а не для вас.
The apps that promise to fix this almost all start the same way: connect your bank account. Handing a third party your banking login to find out where your own money went is a strange trade, and in much of the world it isn't even possible: the connections only cover certain banks in certain countries. We refused to build that.
So this works the other way round. You give us the statement (the file you already have) and we read it to you. That's the whole product.

Because we read the document instead of connecting to the bank, it doesn't matter where the bank is. A statement from a small bank in Manila or Lagos reads the same way as one from a giant in New York: dates, amounts and merchants on paper. That's who this was built for: the majority of the world that the connect-your-account apps quietly skip.

Every transaction we find gets added up and compared against the opening and closing balances printed on your statement. When the numbers agree, we tell you they agree. When they don't, we say that too, plainly, instead of pretending. A tool that reads your money should admit when it isn't sure.
