How to download your DBS statement as a PDF
DBS and POSB eStatements in Singapore download as PDFs from digibank Online and digibank mobile. Then upload it here to see where the money went, checked against the balances printed on the statement.
Getting the PDF from DBS
In digibank Online
- Log in to digibank Online with your User ID and PIN, and complete authentication.
- On Home, scroll to eDocuments and click Show All.
- Choose eStatements and filter by statement type and year.
- Click the statement to download it.
In digibank mobile
- Log in to digibank mobile.
- Tap More, then eDocuments.
- Tap eStatement and filter by statement type and year.
- Tap the download icon to open the PDF.
- These steps are for DBS Singapore. POSB accounts work the same way, except POSB Passbook Savings, which has no eStatements.
Other ways, history and charges
- Printed past statements can be requested in digibank mobile (More, Other Services, Request for Printed Statement) or digibank Online, and take up to 5 working days.
- How far back: DBS keeps eStatements for 7 years from enrolment, and statements from before an account was closed stay viewable.
- Charges: Downloading eStatements is free. Printed past statements cost S$20 per month within a year, S$30 for 1 to 3 years back and S$50 beyond that.
Sources: DBS's own help pages, paraphrased, checked on 13 September 2026. Banks change their menus; if a step no longer matches, tell us.

What we read from the statement
A bank statement PDF normally shows the account and the statement period, an opening and a closing balance, and one row per transaction with a date, a description and an amount, often with a running balance. From that we build the breakdown: where the money went by category, what repeats, and totals in and out. The report is labelled DBS when that name is printed near the top of the statement.
Dates and amounts on statements from Singapore
- Dates written as 05/04/2024, 05-04-24, 05.04.2024, 2024-04-05, 05 Apr 2024, 05-Apr-24 or Apr 5, 2024. A date with a month name but no year (05 Apr) takes its year from the statement header.
- Numeric dates are read day first when the statement itself shows it, with dates such as 25/04/2024 where the first number can only be a day; statements from Singapore are normally written that way. A statement whose dates all fall on the 1st to the 12th of the month gives no such clue and is read month first, so check the dates on the report for a short period.
- Amounts with two decimal places, such as 1,234.56 or 1234.56.
- Money out marked with a minus sign (before or after the number), brackets, or a DR suffix; CR marks money in. A statement with separate debit, credit and balance columns is read column by column.
Known limitations
- Password-protected PDFs
- We cannot open a PDF that asks for a password: the upload fails with "Could not read this PDF". Open it with the password, save or print an unlocked copy as PDF, and upload that.
- Scanned statements
- A scan or photo saved as PDF has no text layer, so we read it with OCR on our own server, up to the first 10 pages. OCR can misread a digit; the report says when it was used, so check its totals. A PDF downloaded from online banking is always more reliable.
- Size
- Up to 25 MB per file and the first 60 pages.
- Dates without a year, whole-number amounts
- A row whose date is only day and month in numbers (05/04) is not read, and neither is a row whose amount has no decimal part (150000 rather than 150000.00). If most of your rows look like that, the upload will say no transactions were found.
- No layout made for this bank
- There is no reader built specially for DBS. One general reader handles every bank, and the report checks what it found against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement, and says so when they do not add up.
Questions about DBS statements
Do you connect to my DBS account?
No. You download the statement from DBS yourself and upload the PDF. We never ask for your online banking login and cannot see your account.
Is my DBS statement stored?
No. The PDF is read in memory and never written to disk. If you buy an export, the rows for the download are kept in your private session so the button works, and are deleted when the session expires, after at most 14 days.
Can I convert a DBS statement to Excel or CSV?
Yes. Reading one statement on screen is free. Downloading it as a spreadsheet (a CSV file that Excel opens) needs a statement pack or a plan.
Is a DBS statement PDF password-protected?
DBS's own help pages that we checked do not say. If your PDF does ask for a password, open it with the password, save an unlocked copy, and upload that: we cannot open a locked PDF.
Which currency will the report use?
A statement that prints SGD outside the transaction rows is read as Singapore dollars. If the only sign is a bare $, the report shows US dollars and marks it as an assumption, because several currencies use that sign; check it against your account if the statement never prints SGD.
How far back can I get DBS statements?
DBS keeps eStatements for 7 years from enrolment, and statements from before an account was closed stay viewable. (From DBS's help pages, checked 13 September 2026.)
