Credit card statements work too: purchases count as spending, payments to the card as money in, and we check our reading against the previous and new balance printed on the statement.
Waarom we niet beperkt zijn tot een lijst
Apps that ask you to connect your bank can only support banks their data provider has built a connection for. That's why almost all of them stop at the US, UK, Canada and a bit of Europe. We read the PDF your bank already gives you, so there's no connection to build and no country restriction. A statement from a rural co-operative bank works the same way a Chase statement does.
Banken die we herkennen bij naam
When one of these names is printed on your statement, the report is labelled with it. The reading itself is the same for every bank: one reader that finds dated rows with amounts and checks them against the balances printed on the statement. A bank that is not listed here is read exactly the same way.

How to get your statement as a PDF
Dit is de stap waar de meeste mensen vastzitten.
- In de mobiele app: look for Statements, e-Statements, Documents, or Account history, then choose a month and pick Download or Share as PDF.
- Op de website: dezelfde woorden, meestal onder uw accountnaam of een Documententabblad. De webversie is vaak makkelijker omdat u een datumbereik kunt kiezen.
- Download het, niet screenshot. Een screenshot of een foto van een afgedrukte pagina is slechts een afbeelding, en er is geen tekst in te lezen.
- Als het vraagt om een wachtwoord: many banks lock statement PDFs with your date of birth, account number or PAN. Open it, save an unlocked copy, then upload that.
